This week's letter in the "ABC's of Earlham" is D for “Future Directed”. Earlham ranks 29th among 1,306 U.S. institutions of higher learning for the percentage of graduates who go on to earn a Ph.D. In the life sciences, we rank 9th among 1,341 institutions. Fifty percent of Earlham alumni begin graduate school within 10 years of graduation. Many of our programs help to prepare our students for their future endeavors and not just by the content that they will study. Our classrooms teach others how to voice an opinion as well be engaged in what the opinions of other around may be.
